Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Line Review

Perricone MD is renowned for its efficacious anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing skincare and their popular supplements range, that help combat skin issues from the inside out. We are starting to notice that damage caused to our skin over time is leading to dull, dehydrated, tired-looking skin. So Dr Nick Perricone added another amazing new line to his renowned Perricone MD Army to help combat these issues. The H2 Elemental Energy™ Collection contains a comprehensive range of lightweight and fast-absorbing products that help to provide a powerful boost of hydration. Leaving the skin looking radiant, full of vitality and feeling healthy and re-energised.

The entire line is powered by Hydrogen (H2 Energy Complex™) which is known to be the smallest molecule in the universe (the smaller the molecule, the deeper it penetrates). This stable form of hydrogen is incredibly powerful at helping each product within the line to absorb rapidly into the skin activating skins cells. Not only are the scientific results effective in this entire line, but the packaging is equally as stylish and rather unique. It just screams modern-day science. Each product within the line is created to work simultaneously together in light layers to provide deep hydration that will last all day long. This is a collection that works for every skin type that suffers from any kind of dehydration issues and is especially beneficial for those with Combination and Oily skin. The lightweight, fast-absorbing textures contain no trace of pore-clogging ingredients that can cause acne breakouts and congestion. Dry skin types will also benefit from this line giving them that extra boost of hydration. Of course, dry skin-types lack oil, so I always recommend following up afterwards with an oil to lock in all that hydration. I highly recommend this Perricone MD face oil which is in balm form.

Upon the initial release of this in the States, I was kindly sent 4 out of the 5 products from the from the H2 Elemental Energy™ line. The only product I don’t have from the collection is the Advanced Renewal Infusion Serum, which retails for a whopping £210 – *Gulp! I can safely say this is definitely out of my price range, though experience has taught me every product from Perricone MD is a worthwhile investment. I first reviewed this on my old blog but wanted to share an updated review on here. I have incorporated each of these products into my skincare routine since March and have noticed a dramatic difference in my hydration levels and overall look of my skin. Which products from the line are indeed worth the investment?

Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Firming Foam Mask* – £48/$50 for 100ml | Cosdna Rating

The first thing you will notice is that there is no cleanser in this line. With 6 amazing cleansers already under their belt, this line didn’t really need one! My personal favourite Perricone cleansers are this and this. Sadly I just couldn’t get along with Hypoallergenic Gentle Cleanser and have yet to try out the infamous Nutritive Cleanser. I only have a few foaming masks in my collection and the only one I have used and enjoyed has been the Radical Skincare Instant Revitalising Mask. The Perricone MD Firming Foam Mask* comes in a sleek airtight pump container and the amount of product you get is great. Most brands give 50ml but Perricone has given 100ml. It dispenses out as a rich gel which feels incredibly cooling on the skin then starts turning into a delicate, yet rich and dense foam, with a slight tingling sensation. I like that the foam doesn’t dissolve too quickly and the denser texture does a great job of preventing it from running into your eyes, nose or mouth. If you could put your face in a cool fluffy cloud I am guessing it would feel a little something like this. It’s one of those face masks you will notice immediate results after rinsing. The Firming Foam Mask is not only fun to use, but it really works to leave your skin looking and feeling amazing. Skin is left feeling hydrated, invigorated, refreshed, soft, soothed and moisturised. It really is a mask powerhouse and it smells delightful too. If you’re looking for a mask that gives instant brightening and firming results, then I highly recommend this. It’s now become a firm staple in my beauty cabinet. It’s gentle enough to be used every day, however, I presently use around every 10 days. Now, Perricone MD has a total of 4 face masks in their collection the Chloro PlasmaCocoa MoistureRefreshing Shower Mask and now the Firming Foam mask All of which I thoroughly enjoy.

Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Booster Serum* – £80/$100 for 30ml | Cosdna Rating

The Most Expensive product of the four from the collection that I own and at first it was my least favourite. Not because it’s a bad product but because of the fluid texture and the amount of product I had to use. There are a lot more affordable hydrating serums out there, so for the high price point, I was expecting to be wowed. I’m so used to my serums being power houses. that combines a multitude of ingredients to target an array of different skin issues. The longer I used this, the more I grew to actually appreciate it. Especially when used in conjunction with the Moisturiser. The serum is very fluid and lightweight which absorbs instantly providing instant hydration. Those who dislike sticky or tacky Hyaluronic Acid serums will love this. It’s also especially effective if you are someone who is short of time and need your skincare routine to be quick and efficient.

The container is airtight which keeps the ingredients fresher and makes it fantastic for travel with no risk for spillage. Water-like fluid serum textures with no viscosity are brilliant at penetrating the skin quickly. However, because of the texture, I found that I would have to use a few pumps to cover my entire face and neck. I felt like I was going through the product too quickly. Over time I discovered I enjoyed using this as a booster with other serums. I still got the hydration benefits but using less product. Because of the fluid texture, the product shoots out the pump too quick, so make sure to cup your hand so that no product goes to waste. Airtight pumps are my favourite packaging for skincare, however, pumps work best with a slightly richer texture. This serum would have benefited much greater with a dropper applicator instead.

Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy De-Puffing Eye Gel* – £60/$75 for 15ml | Cosdna Rating

This is not the most expensive eye product I have tried. The H2 Elemental Energy Eye Gel is a cooling, soothing eye gel that helps to de-puff and hydrates the delicate eye area. Dr Nick Perricone describes the De-Puffing Eye Gel* as a preventative measure for any visible signs of ageing around the eye area. Tackling puffiness, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. This is a fantastic eye product for those who are after a lightweight hydration to layer under a cream, and who have sensitive eyes. It’s Fragrance-Free which I prefer in an eye product, which fragrance can irritate the under eyes. It works for all skin types and helps to provide immediate soothing hydration to every age bracket. I don’t really get puffy under eyes so I cannot comment on that. Initially, I wasn’t sure at first that the gel texture would give my under the moisture that it needs, but boy-oh-boy was I wrong! It feels incredibly silky smooth to the touch and my under eyes feel extremely hydrated and moisturised all day long. Even throughout allergy season where my eyes tend to be more dry, itchy and inflamed! Its a fantastic serum for layering with an eye cream and I enjoy applying this cream over top. The two together are like magic! Even after all these months i still find myself enjoying applying this every morning. If you are after a lightweight eye product, that feels like a drink of water for your under eyes and has a nice cooling sensation instantly making your eyes feel refreshed I highly recommend this. Best of all if you are someone who gets milia easily you will like this. I actually found it has helped reduce some of the milia bumps I had under my eyes.

Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Cloud Cream* – £69/$80 for 50ml | Cosdna Rating

Now for the Creme-De-La-Creme of this entire line *now imagine angels start singing in the background. This is by far one of Perricone MD’s most exciting innovations to date! The H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Cloud Cream features a luxurious, lighter-than-air formula that provides a superior hydrating experience and true efficacy. It’s incredibly unique in that it addresses the needs of dehydrated, dull, tired-looking skin without being heavy or pore-clogging. Which can result in breakouts. The revolutionary formula helps to infuse hydration to skin that is lacking water. Helping you to achieve healthy, hydrated and youthful looking skin. Where as most ‘traditional’ moisturisers target skin types lacking in oil (dry skin). This was the product i was most excited about getting my hands on and i must say that it exceeded my already high expectations! This moisturiser is simply amazing and I have reached for this every day since the end of March, that it is almost all gone. I will say though that a little really does go a long way! It feels so incredibly lightweight on the skin and cool to the touch. Very similar to the Blithe Crystal Iceplant only more whipped, and a better cruelty free alternative to the Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream. The Perricone Hydrating Cloud Cream* is the ultimate lightweight hydrator for those with combination and oily skin, and even those with dry skim in the summer. It helps to provide the skin with intense hydration that feels feather-light and absorbs instantly. Leaving the skin feeling cool, refreshed and awake. Before you know it your skin will be balanced and clear. Since i started using use i have noticed a huge difference in my dehydrated skin. My skin is the best it’s ever been this year, more balanced, less patchy and brighter, and this cream has played a huge part in it. I also noticed i have been breaking out much less as well. I honestly could not see myself living without this moisturiser in my life now and it will forever be a repurchase for me, for as long as my skin continues to love it!
