Amly Botanicals Digital Detox & Radiance Boost Silver Rich Face Mist Review

If you have followed me for some time then you will already know how passionate I feel about both Amly Botanicals face mists. So, of course, I wanted to share my love for their products and Amly as a brand, here on my new blog. I am going to start off by explaining a little more about the founders behind Amly Botanicals, their ethos and how they came about. Then share my review on both of the face mists……

About The Brand
Amly Botanicals is a small British Skincare Brand founded by two friends Kerry Moore and Lisa Smallpeice. Both Lisa and Kerry share a passion and love for natural beauty products. After Lisa moved to Hawthbush Farm situated in the East Sussex Countryside, they noticed the land was virtually untouched. Boasting of 140 acres of organic untouched land. Complete with beautiful wild-flower meadows and hedgerows full of wild herbs and medicinal plants (I bet it’s breathtakingly beautiful!?). They soon started looking for a water source and this is where they discovered a water-spring running directly beneath the wild meadow. They decided to bottle this incredible silver-rich water-source, basing their entire skincare line around it. Due to it’s anti-bacterial and anti-microbial healing properties. You can find out here why silver is good for your skin. All of a sudden Amly Botanicals was born.

Did you know that ‘Amly’ is actually the Old English name of the organic wild-flower meadow?

Lisa and Kerry were determined to create beauty products that not only work but remained as pure as possible. Every ingredient within each bottle is inspired by their East Sussex landscape, using all the wild plants that live on the land. Both Kerry & Lisa knew they wanted to create a natural skincare line free-from nasties like parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulphates, GMOs, PEGs, mineral oil, silicon and animal-derived ingredients. Creating only clean handmade, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly products. The Amly ‘Radiance Boost’ Silver Rich Face Mist was their first creation in their line-up of ‘silver-rich inspired’ face mists. Then they added the younger sister Digital Detox to the Alchemist Family, and their upcoming creation releasing in October is called ‘Beauty Sleep’. They aim to create more mists to cater to all skin types and correspond to various lifestyle needs. Did you know that every fresh batch of the Amly silver-rich face mists takes 8 weeks to produce?! All of the organic flowers and native herbs are extracted using the gentle and slow process of hydro-distillation. A process where the plants are left to soak and are then heated, leaving the oil and water separated using condensation. Afterward, the floral hydrosols, essential oils and silver-rich water are hand blended together and poured into the beautiful bottles we receive. So you really can say that each bottle is made with love, care, and passion. I think it is because of the natural sources they use, their ethos and passion that I love this brand so much. I honestly have the utmost respect for them both.

How to Use
All of the Amly face mists can be used in a multitude of ways. Post-cleansing as a hydrating toner to a balance out your skin ready for your next products. As a post-makeup setting spray to help powders to blend seamlessly into the skin adding beautiful dewy glow, as a buffer in between skincare steps, and as a moisturising pick-me-up throughout the day. Each mist is designed to protect your skin from environmental challenges and give a good sense of well-being at the same time. Over this past year, the Amly Face mists have become firm staples in my handbag and skincare top shelfie. Not only do I reach for these throughout my morning and evening skincare routines, I also use them as uplifting refreshers whenever I’m feeling a little rundown, fatigued and unmotivated throughout the day. In fact, I always have one of my Amly face mists close to me when I’m blogging away on my laptop.

Shake well (this is very important, as it is packed full of nutrient rich ingredients that need to be shaken before every use to disperse through). Then close your eyes and spray liberally onto the face. Inhale deeply to allow the aromatic oils to stimulate the senses, relax your mind and help you recharge.

All of the Amly mists come housed within chic Miron Glass bottles, with the best nozzles that disperse the finest, even mist! I will admit to being quite the ‘nozzle snob’ when it comes to face mists. The reason why Miron glass is so amazing in that it works like a natural filter, blocking out complete spectrum of visible light & allowing a part of the product inside to be permeable for radiation in the spectral range of UVA, and infra-red light. Thus lengthening the stability & potency of the product inside without the need to use any kind of parabens or preservatives. I personally do not have a problem with some preservatives like Sorbic Acid or Phenoxyethanol, that are some of the least sensitizing out there. It always depends on the ingredients inside. I still always store my skincare products out of direct sunlight to help preserve my products longer. May Lindstrom – Link, MUN Skin – Link, De Mamiel – Link, Dafnas – Link, Kahina Giving Beauty – Link, Bella Aura – Link and Lina Hanson – Link, are all other wonderful brands that I love that use Miron Glass packaging. There is also La Belle Lune – Link and Vintners Daughter – Link) which I have yet to try out myself.

Meet Amly Radiance Boost….

“A delicate and lightly floral revitalizing and illuminating face mist to deeply hydrate, and lift your senses with a reminiscence of a British country-side walk through the changing seasons.”

Score 5/5

My radiance boost mist is in the old original packaging (which is why it doesn’t say radiance boost on the bottle) however the newer bottles have this stated. I am now close to finishing my 2nd bottle. I love it that much and I’ve lost count of how many times I have raved about this! The Amly Silver Rich Face Mist is a beautiful lightweight delicately floral, hydrating and toning mist. Radiance Boost is strengthened with moisture-boosting Hyaluronic Acid in smaller molecules to be able to penetrate the skin faster and battle dehydration deep down. The bottle is also infused with their signature Silver-rich Spring Water, Peptides, Wild Plant Probiotics and uplifting essential oils. Working together to hydrate, revitalize and illuminate the skin. With just a few delicate spritzes of the Amly Radiance Boost, you can transform yourself into a beautiful countryside-meadow daydream and come back refreshed and revamped ready to take on whatever is thrown at you. Which is why this is one of my all-time favourite Midday refreshers, especially when I am feeling stressed or fatigued.

Meet Digital Detox….

“A protective and re-energising mineral-rich Face Mist to help combat the skin-stressing and energy-zapping effects of digital, environmental and cosmic pollution.”

Score: 4/5

Digital Detox* has more of a woodsy, floral aroma than the more delicate Radiance Boost Mist. With strong woody and floral notes of Jasmine, Juniper, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Rose Geranium & Frankincense, this mist really compliments the warmer Spring and Summer months. Helping to bring the outside sunshine inside. Digital Detox is made specifically to protect skin cells, detoxify and de-stress by promoting clarity of mind. Today as a generation we are exposed every day to electromagnetic fields emitted from our computers and mobile devices. This exposure can really affect our energy levels and even take its toll on our skin. I mean how many of you find after sitting in front of a phone or computer screen for a long period of time, that your eyes feel dehydrated, itchy and strained? I know I can relate.

Packed full of natures minerals & antioxidants to shield against environmental aggressors and pollutants, the Digital Detox mist is the perfect preventative measure against the negative side-effects of technological devices, making it the perfect desk companion. It helps to improve your concentration and de-stress the mind and battles dehydration by adding hydration and preventing moisture loss. Not only is Digital detox perfect for anyone stuck behind a computer desk, but it is also the perfect travel companion. Whether it be through experiencing the stress of the London underground polluted commute or midway through a long flight, this mist is the perfect skin protector, hydrator and pick-me-up in one. With notes somewhat similar to the May Lindstrom’s Jasmine Garden but with greater benefits, I would highly recommend trying this out. Especially if the Jasmine Garden is financially out of your reach. The Amly Digital Detox mist is £27 cheaper and in my opinion much more pleasant and effective.
